About the job
The Image Sensor and Camera Electrical Engineering (EE) team focuses on design and evaluation of camera systems for Google’s consumer hardware. We explore imaging sensors, camera system hardware, and applications to help bring Google’s photography experience to our users. We work with our partners in Tech Engineering, as well as cross-functionally with the Android Software and Augmented Perception teams to bring immersive imaging features to Google products.
As a Camera Electrical Engineer in the Tech Engineering team, you will contribute to exploring various camera electrical systems and applications for consumer hardware. You will work alongside hardware, system integration and silicon development teams to develop camera electrical system technology.
Responsibilities
Determine component requirements, and develop/review schematic designs for innovative camera module related circuits containing digital image sensors, microcontrollers, low-noise power supplies, and high-speed serial interfaces.
Work with vendors and teams for developing camera module circuits to ensure correct operation over the specified voltage and temperature ranges.
Work with schematics/layout design for flex/rigid/rigid-flex fab assemblies and substrate.
Review layout, DFM and design reports to sign off on fab/board/substrate build activity. Perform Electrical Engineering validation testing.
Analyze Camera module performance and noise data and create appropriate documentation for sharing info with broader team.
