About the job
Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it’s modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Excellent at working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to address big picture challenges.
You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial experts. You’ll keep management informed on key financial metrics and work to improve financial operation practices throughout your region.
In this role, you will help shape Google’s business by leading the Central team for Americas Ads Finance. You’ll frame strategic and differentiating positioning on executive-level deliverables such as goal setting, planning, quarterly business reviews, and more. You will partner with various global Sales, Finance, Go-To-Market, and regional teams, acting as a key contributor in a high-growth environment.
You will set business growth goals, plan our investment areas for the Americas Large Customer Sales organization, and understand how the Ads business operates.
The name Google came from “googol,” a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Drive key processes that develop insights and analysis, supporting the Americas business and shape strategy. Partner with Americas Sales leadership.
Coordinate Americas Ads business growth and budget and forecast processes, working with Product and Finance teams to ensure timely, accurate, and insightful reporting.
Identify opportunities to improve Americas Ads Finance processes and lead efforts to scale best practices across the region.
Interact with other Ads Finance, Go-To-Market, and regional/central teams to assure strategic and analytical alignment and data consistency and efficiency.
Provide stakeholders with finance-based decision support for implementing and maintaining products and processes, including project investment analysis, development and maintenance of metrics, and analysis support of strategic planning activities.
