15 years of experience in engineering organizations, spanning work across engineering, product, technical program management, and operations
15 years of experience managing technical projects in the software engineering domain

Cloud Programs is an organization that is part of Google Cloud. It supports all software and hardware programs in Google Cloud and is responsible for delivering predictable schedules and creating execution excellence. This organization is also responsible for strategizing and executing organization-wide projects.

As the Chief of Staff for Cloud Programs, you will report to the Vice President of Cloud Programs and serve as the primary advisor and strategist partner in developing the business strategy, organizational structure and cadence, and frameworks to operate effectively at increasing scale and complexity.
You will work across strategic and operational efforts, including leading and contributing to the growth, development, and overall health of the organization. This will be accomplished through ensuring effective communication, alignment, and execution of the organization’s strategy and roadmap both within the organization and with Google more broadly. You will also own special projects and strategic organization efforts, helping to run the business cadence. Additionally, you will aid in conflict management and resolve issues.
You will partner with executive leadership in Google Cloud, their direct reports, and cross-functional partners to set and communicate strategy and decision-making with the broader organization. You will also partner closely with key cross-functional partners to align strategies and business decisions. The Chief of Staff will build excellent partnerships across functions, inspiring trust by demonstrating good judgment and integrity.

Responsibilities
Establish and lead operating processes for effectively managing the Google Cloud organization. This includes running core operations, strategic planning, headcount and budget management, conflict management, organizational communications, and programs to improve growth, development, and training.
Partner cross-functionally within Google Cloud and other parts of the organization. Use cross-functional knowledge to understand issues, trends, and perspectives that may influence our partners and our work.
Manage annual strategic/business planning process in coordination with key partners. Facilitate communication and decision-making, enabling execution of organization-wide initiatives.
Lead critical projects based on emergent business needs in an effort to scale from strategy development to managing execution of all organizational and people priorities. Determine a plan to execute and implement solutions.
Communicate findings to the leadership team and the broader organization. Collaborate with partners to deliver results.
