About the job
The Server Operations team monitors the physical and network infrastructure behind Google’s technology and holds responsibility for keeping the servers, networks, and logistics processes in Google’s global fleet of data centers running smoothly and efficiently. We strive to be diverse, creative, team-oriented technicians and managers working daily to operate systems in Google’s data centers, changing the outlook on contemporary computing.
In this role, you will drive continuous improvement strategies and execution for North and South America (NASA) data centers by working with leadership, and ensuring processes and programs are aligned to the overall team vision. You will identify emerging trends to ensure the organization is aligned to the business model and user expectations, and lead initiatives that foster an environment of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google’s product portfolio possible. We’re proud to be our engineers’ engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
Design and drive full implementation of programs that enable accelerated continuous improvement actions to deliver exceptional performance.
Develop continuous improvement strategy, best practices, and standards for the organization’s integrated supply chain.
Drive the organization to find solutions by eliminating barriers across the network to propel sustained improvement, leveraging continuous/lean methodology, and tools.
Drive collaboration and standardization strategy in critical work processes across the organization.
Collaborate with leadership in the development of performance plans, review, and improvement process, following the plan-do-check-act cycle.
