Experience with virtualization/networking (e.g., hypervisors, elastic compute) and storage technology (e.g., Block Storage, Object Storage).
Experience with modern relational (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Aurora, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL database systems.
Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, IBM, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Memcache, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Cassandra and knowledge of database administration techniques.
Experience in technical sales or professional consulting in the fields of systems integration, large scale data transfer/management, and enterprise database performance.
Experience with data migration strategies and moving large scale production systems either in on-premise/ data center environments or migration to cloud scenarios.
Experience in optimizing database performance of transactional and analytic workloads.
Excellent SQL skills with deep query troubleshooting knowledge.

As a Customer Engineer, you will work directly with technical business teams to differentiate and promote Google Cloud to our customers. You will help customers and partners understand the features of Google Cloud, explain technical features, help customers design architectures, engage in proof-of-concepts, and troubleshoot potential roadblocks related to database, application migration, and data back ends for application development.

Responsibilities
Partner with teams to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop strategy to resolve technical blockers.
Share storage and database knowledge to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and the coordination/prioritization of solutions impacting customer adoption of Google Cloud.
Partner with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer and partner environments.
Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, and platforms/application infrastructure required to successfully implement a solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events.
