Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience working in data engineering implementations (e.g., architecture, processing pipelines, validation, monitoring).
Experience in SQL, Python, or object-oriented programming.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in full life-cycle system implementations (e.g., analyze, design, build, test, implement, support).
Experience in data security, risk management, data quality, metadata data management, data discovery, reporting, and analytics.
Knowledge of technical leadership, stakeholder management, and Data Governance and Protection.
Ability to break down complex problems and projects into manageable goals and align data initiatives with Finance strategy.
Ability to embraces change and exhibit a bias for action.
About the job
As a Data Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and growing the Finance Data Governance, Security, and Privacy team. You will lead a team of Data Engineers and Information Security and Privacy subject expects. You will work with Finance Leads and Engineering partners to drive and execute on the overall data security, privacy, and governance across the Finance organization.
Responsibilities
Drive the execution of strategic initiatives to help Finance teams keep data safe and secure and adhere to applicable policies and guidelines.
Leverage available tools and infrastructure to implement systematic data asset management, monitoring, and control initiatives for Finance.
Foster cross-functional partnerships between Finance, Engineering, Legal, Security, Privacy, and Compliance teams to influence security feature development with Finance needs in mind.
Design and build scalable data processing pipelines, self-serve business intelligence (BI), estimated time to launch (ETLs), and other infrastructure enhancements to deliver high-quality data products.
Drive and execute on data security initiatives, influence across all levels, and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
