Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

15 years of professional experience.

10 years of relevant work experience.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional partner teams.

Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree (Master’s, PhD, MBA) in a related field (Analytical, Technical, Legal, Operations Management)

Experience and track record operating with a significant operational or cross-functional element.

Experience in global management roles, handling multiple senior stakeholders and a proven ability to influence at all levels of the organization

Excellent global leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Open, engaging and collaborative style and able to represent and respect company values in all interactions.

About the job

The Chief of Staff (COS) will work with the Chief Health Officer, who leads Health@Google, to ensure strategic and operational success.

You will work with other senior executives and their management teams in Health@Google and across the company to efficiently run the organization. In this role, you’ll provide strategic direction for the organizational cadence (budgeting, planning, reviews), run strategic projects, and provide a proxy for your leader, able to communicate strategy and decision-making to the management team and other key stakeholders.

To be most effective running the business, you will build strong partnerships across functions and across Google, so you must have integrity and be trusted by all.

Google Health has made major advances in healthcare research, such as detecting eye disease more quickly and accurately than experts, planning cancer radiotherapy treatment in seconds rather than hours, and working to detect patient deterioration before it happens with electronic records.

Fundamental research is at the core of Google Health – the multidisciplinary team collaborates with partners to publish novel research in renowned scientific journals. They then work to apply this research into the medical field, whether through Streams, our clinical assistant app, or other clinical hardware and products developed in Google. Working alongside colleagues across Google, you’ll help make this vision a reality.
