15 years of engineering experience, including management experience leading engineering organizations.

20 years of professional experience as an engineering leader.
Experience in lifecycle data rollouts at scale, promoting product excellence and collaboration.
Demonstrated track record of technical innovation within large, complex, and cross-functional engineering environments.
Excellent leadership skills.
About the job
The Graph Serving team builds and runs the serving backend for the Knowledge Graph, a single high-quality repository that Google has learned of entities (people, place, and things), and provides that knowledge back to Google products, while utilizing a standard language called PathQuery for working with structured data. In this engineering leadership role, you will have the opportunity to lead and scale our efforts for Graph Serving and Core Data overall.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
Responsibilities
Evolve the strategic and technical direction for Graph Serving, ensuring that the team’s objectives are aligned with those of Core Data.
Set the roadmap and goals for Graph Serving with a keen perspective towards balanced improvement in performance, efficiency, stability, useability, and functionality.
Scale the systems, be it rebuilding or supporting the existing Google wide platform, to meet the needs of stakeholders Search, Geo, Shopping, etc.
Provide the vision, strategy and execution to deliver key projects for Graph Serving that accelerate product innovation for Google.
Develop and grow talent through effective mentoring, development, and coaching.
