15 years of experience as a Software Engineering leader in Infrastructure areas

Experience motivating others at all levels by creating a shared sense of vision and purpose
Experience successfully producing software products and large-scale distributed systems
Experience delivering successfully within timelines
Ability to balance detailed, technical guidance with big picture strategy, enabling teams to deliver products that are effective and creating new ways to manage data
Track record of ideation and innovation of technology at scale and passion for development and the use of cross-platform shared code
Understanding of computing, data centers, enterprise software and hardware infrastructure with technical knowledge to be credible with customers and engineers
About the job
As a Director of Engineering for the Training team at Core ML, you will be responsible for leading the ML training team that develops scalable training services like TensorFlow Extended (TFX) and related technologies. You will also lead projects for our training offerings.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. Responsibilities
Develop a strategic vision for ML Training.
Lead a growing engineering organization responsible for building the ML training components.
Evolve the strategic direction for the Frameworks and Services organization that is aligned with Core ML objectives.
Lead, develop, and deliver the ML training strategy in alignment with Core ML strategy to build a more diverse, more equitable, and more inclusive organization.
Own and set the strategy, roadmap, and implementation for multiple areas of focus, balancing short and long-term priorities against various business needs.
