About the job
Our mission is to create and enable useful, fun, and enriching experiences for kids everywhere. As Engineering Director, you will lead the software engineering team for Google Kids and Families. You will focus on the vision and strategy for the engineering function and collaborate with leadership across product areas to create outstanding experiences for kids and families. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing a talented team of senior engineers and driving execution in a complex environment.
Responsibilities
Partner closely with Product Management leadership to define the vision for Google Kids and Families.
Lead the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects.
Manage and grow a team of software engineers across varying levels of seniority.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and across different teams within Platforms and Ecosystems.
Develop and grow leadership talent through effective mentoring, coaching, succession planning and retention strategies for key talent in a fast growth environment.
