About the job
What if Google built the first global, iconic FinTech brand? It is an ambitious vision and no easy feat given the category complexity – the pace of change, the number of currencies, different payments infrastructures, and significant competition. But we have every reason to believe it is within reach, and in this role, you will lead a global team responsible for growing Google’s payments ecosystem.
You will lead the Wallet and Ready-to-Pay (RTP) product marketing, growth marketing, and partner marketing teams and initiatives. You will set marketing strategy, organize resources against key priorities, and partner with product, marketing, and other cross-functional leaders to shape the overall strategy and to influence the development of key product features. You will manage a team that is responsible for all aspects of marketing for these areas, including insights and strategy development, stakeholder engagement, and go-to-market execution.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google’s products solve the world’s problems-from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can-changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Responsibilities
Lead strategy and externalization of Wallet and Ready-to-Pay (RTP) efforts, including product announcements.
Oversee growth marketing across Payments ecosystem including GPay App, Autofill, API, and Wallet.
Develop and execute Partner/Merchant strategy to grow the Payments ecosystem and to provide users with differentiated offers and experiences from relevant merchants. Promote user insights and exercise thought leadership to inform and inspire product direction.
Collaborate with the Android team, Payments marketing peers, and with the greater Google organization as it relates to payment integration across Google. Build strong relationships with senior leaders in key product and engineering areas to influence product decisions, marketing leaders around the globe to drive roll out of marketing activities, and key cross-functional stakeholders to align on go-to-market strategies.
Lead and grow a team of marketers.
