Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
15 years of product management or related experience.
5 years of experience leading a team of product managers.
Experience in systems, infrastructure, storage, or related expertise.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience as a software engineer or similar technology background.
End-to-end product management experience with software/web technologies.
Experience in lifecycle data rollouts at scale, promoting product excellence and collaboration.
Experience in storage systems and technology.
Ability to use “big picture” strategy thinking, enabling teams to deliver products that are effective and also creating new ways to manage data.

Core Data’s Serving and Storage team manages systems that serve search results for Google Search, YouTube, Geo, Assistant, Play, Gmail, and other Google products. By providing the software and infrastructure needed to serve queries over the web to billions of users, this organization contributes directly to the success of the business and the company’s overall mission.
As the Director of Product Management for Serving and Storage, you will oversee the current serving products, which provide the index serving platform for Google, as well as the storage products within Core, which manage components and integrations across Google. You will be instrumental in continuing to deliver excellent products and experiences, and also help define the future vision and strategy for the Data organization. You will work cross-functionally, working closely with our Technical Infrastructure team as well as senior-level engineering and product leadership across the company.

Responsibilities
Manage and grow a team of Product Managers who oversee the portfolio of current Serving and Storage products.
Partner closely with Engineering Leads within Core to define the future vision, strategy, and product offerings for Serving and Storage.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across Google, including senior leaders within Search, Ads, YouTube, Geo and Cloud, to influence infrastructure offerings.
Work cross-functionally across multiple disciplines, including Engineering, UX, Technical Program Management and Customer Engagement, to deliver the best possible user experience and solve business critical infrastructure needs.
Contribute to the long-term strategy and innovation of Google infrastructure.
