15 years of experience in management consulting, product management, engineering, general management and/or operations roles, building relationships and leading operational initiatives
Experience growing and leading a team
Experience working with engineering and/or product teams
Preferred qualifications:
20 years of experience in business operations, strategy, operations, chief of staff, or other relevant practice areas.
Experience motivating others to create a shared sense of goals and inspiring others to follow while developing and fostering a high-performance culture
Experience as a product or program manager.
Experience working in a customer-facing organization and/or driving platform and technology changes across a company
Ability to get things done and to show courage by admitting failure, making tough calls, and moving forward despite complexity and ambiguity
Ability to create a compelling goal and communicate clearly, confidently, and authentically
About the job
In this role, you will define and create an organization that includes strategy and operations and business operations, including processes, frameworks, and tools for running Core Developer’s first-party strategic and day-to-day planning cycles, annual and quarterly objective key results, review cycles, headcount planning, etc.
You will support the development of strategic and operational plans to deliver to first-party customers by working across the Core Developer pillar. This role will foster impact, as it will provide strategic insight and translate strategy into action for an organization serving internal developers across multiple ecosystems on over many platforms in many countries.
You will act as a trusted advisor to the organization lead, and in some instances be called upon to act as a proxy. You will thrive in ambiguity and look for opportunities to collaborate across the organization.
Responsibilities
Architect the first-party Developer strategy with first-party leads that span and connect Developer and Core.
Serve as a proxy for Vice President, and first-party Developer when needed to represent the strategy across Developer, and Google.
Manage business planning and core operations, metrics, budget, headcount, space planning, location strategy, diversity, equity, inclusion activities, etc.
Drive change in core business operations for the global organization including but not limited to decision-making effectiveness, streamlining product and engineering reviews, and resource planning and allocation.
Foster community across the different roles and job families in first-party, and help drive unity across the first-party organization to build and maintain organizational health.
