10 years of experience managing technical projects in a software engineering domain

About the job
As the Director of Technical Program Management for the User Generated Content (UGC) team in Geo, you will lead a high-performing and globally distributed team that partners with our Engineering, Product Management, and User Experience counterparts to bring contribution and consumption UGC experiences to life on Maps and local Search, and launch infrastructure to support these feature teams.
In this role, you will utilize leadership expertise and talent in program management to mobilize cross-functional teams and deliver solutions for scale and data-driven decision-making, leading and launching solutions that enable Geo and Google’s products. Your passion, technical, and business depth, and excellent organizational and communication capabilities will inspire our teams and rapidly establish trust amongst a wide range of stakeholders and customers.
Responsibilities
Lead and inspire an organization of technical program managers (TPM), driving alignment amongst Software Engineering and partner organizations. Be a thought leader to help drive impact for Geo.
Partner with Engineering Directors, Product Managers, and leadership to ensure TPM alignment with Engineering and Product priorities. Forecast resourcing requirements for TPM, while driving sub-linear scaling.
Be a key member of the Project Management Organization to drive improvements to current processes, while building a healthy, scalable, and growth-oriented global TPM organization.
Lead other TPM groups to streamline processes, simplify execution, manage objectives and key results (OKRs), release on time, bring tooling efficiencies, and help teams in execution.
Collaborate with a variety of cross-functional counterparts to support project and program requests requiring support from this mission.
