Minimum qualifications:
15 years of experience in UX research, design, and/or strategy at technology companies.
Experience with quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
Experience collaborating with leadership and executives across functions.
Experience developing and leading UX teams to discover and deliver products.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher-level degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Information Science, or a related field.
20 years of experience establishing insight-driven UX in enterprise organizations, regulated companies, and/or security startups.
Ability to build a multi-stream research agenda that drives user empathy across a large organization.
Ability to articulate positions, negotiate, advocate for research, and represent research insights.
Excellent communication skills.

As a Director for UX Research on this team, you will help grow and evolve the research practice, influence our roadmap, and lead the team from insight to action. Responsibilities
Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of outstanding UX Researchers. Amplify or evolve how UX Research is defining user experiences that balance invisible security with tangible controls.
Build strong relationships across Product Management and Engineering to inform direction with research insights, so we always prioritize and ship experiences that delight our customers.
Collect and synthesize data related to user needs and the product landscape through foundational, generative, iterative, and evaluative research methods.
Consider how best to address customer requests through existing platforms, products, and environments that enterprise end-users already work in every day.
Inspire your team and partners to work on opportunities and constraints to move towards making Google Cloud Platform a security/privacy differentiator.
