Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
3 years of experience working in embedded software or software security or related field.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with micro-architectural attacks, return oriented programming attacks, buffer overflow attacks, and the like.
Experience with cache side-channel, Spectre, Meltdown or Rowhammer attacks.
Experience with static analysis or fuzzing.
Understanding of embedded security including typical countermeasures against hardware and software attacks.

In this role, you will perform security assessment of Google products using hardware and software techniques. You will perform security assessment and propose/prototype new countermeasures, mitigation techniques, security mechanisms, and security architecture to enhance Google security products. You will interact with a large team of engineers at software, hardware, and system-level.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement various classes of attacks leveraging micro-architectural flaws, software bugs, and other system misbehaviors.
Contribute to product security by testing, developing, and integrating security technologies while investigating new ones.
Design, develop, implement, and test security solutions with cost, performance, and reliability in mind.
Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., Systems, Software, Hardware, Provisioning, Testing, and Product Management).
Support security certifications.
