About the job
As an Energy Structuring Negotiator on the Global Data Centers team, you will lead efforts in creating, deploying, and scaling global energy initiatives. You will have the opportunity to source and lead new methods and structures to achieve carbon reduction goals across our global energy supply portfolio, interfacing with various external stakeholders. You will act as our commercial lead when interfacing with external parties and work cross-functionally and internally to coordinate our commercial and operations teams in order to successfully execute on projects.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google’s product portfolio possible. We’re proud to be our engineers’ engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
Responsibilities
Identify financial and commercial structures to meet Google’s Cloudpath Frontend (CFE) and Net Zero objectives across different regions and technologies, including markets where direct procurement of carbon free energy by end-users is not currently possible.
Evaluate opportunities (financial analysis, feasibility, impact on Google’s climate goals) and lead selection and prioritization processes.
Own and manage project negotiation from idealization to execution of contracts and investments.
Improve current or invent new approaches, creating solutions to solve business problems, and ensure objectives are achieved.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external and internal partner teams.
