Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in security, virtualization, or cloud native architectures in a customer-facing or sales engineering role.
- 3 years of experience as a pre-sales or field engineering manager.
- Experience in Cloud security matters, risk management, and privacy.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a technical field.
- Cloud or Security industry certifications.
- Experience with network security technology including intrusion monitoring, threat detection and prevention systems, firewalls, and DDOS prevention solutions.
- Technical sales or professional consulting experience in the fields of security, risk management, compliance and security controls at the systems, network, and application level.
- Knowledge of Big Data, PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, public cloud, and related industry and technical concepts.
- Understanding of identity management systems including directories, access servers, authorization services, identity provisioning, and governance systems.

As an Enterprise Customer Engineering Manager, you will lead a pre-sales Cloud Security Architect team responsible for discovery and assessment of customer requirements that include security and compliance risks associated with moving customer workloads to GCP. This team will prepare and present demonstrations of Google’s Cloud services as well as address and overcome technical objections that arise throughout the process. You will be an effective motivator to manage a diverse collection of engineering professionals. You and your team will be trusted advisors to customers and advocates for our security solutions, providing support to our C-Level, Security Leaders, and Security Analysts. In this role, you will ensure they have the strategic promoting and technical skill sets needed to lead projects forward. You’ll support your team in accompanying customers in discovering the technology/solution and consulting around the best way to secure and ensure compliance. You’ll enhance your team’s results when in production, leading with empathy, while identifying innovative ways to multiply your impact and the impact of the team as a whole.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $154,000-$236,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Lead a centralized team responsible for technical aspects of Google Cloud Security platform solutions, including activities such as unblocking workloads for Compute, Storage, Data, AI/ML, support and deliver solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and customer relationships.
- Assess CSA team’s go-to-market readiness, identify gaps in CSA preparedness, and build plans to ensure the team is properly trained and equipped to successfully perform in support of annualized goals.
- Work with Google Cloud Sales team leadership to identify, qualify, and prioritize coverage for opportunities.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Engineering management to determine proper staffing levels to support annualized goals, establish job requisitions, assemble pools, and lead interview teams to fill open positions.
- Travel up to 35% of the time to visit customers across a defined geographic territory.
