About the job
As the Executive Creative Director for Platforms and Ecosystems (P&E), you will be responsible for building, scaling, and operationalizing an outstanding in-house creative engine for P&E Consumer Marketing. You will lead teams as they concept and shape marketing communications, visual language, and creative strategy for brands like Google Play, Chrome, and Android. You will work with internal teams and external agency partners to launch successful marketing campaigns that tap into culture, build brand equity, represent our culture and values, and drive business results. You will be responsible for overseeing campaign work across major media investments, leading creative excellence across all media, and driving creative innovation.
In this role, you will collaborate and align across multiple executive stakeholders, building credibility through talent acquisition and exceptional work. You will work with both internal creative resources and agency partners to incubate creative ideas, raise the bar on output, and challenge the status quo. You will focus on what is right, compelling, and memorable for the consumer.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google’s products solve the world’s problems-from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can-changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Responsibilities
Act as the creative catalyst for P&E brands across consumer audiences.
Partner with Brand Management and Strategy teams as well as external partner leadership to shape and execute visionary ideas with a lasting impact on the brand.
Partner with Marketing teams and cross-functional groups within Google to align on brand expression and creative strategy, set priorities, and develop execution roadmaps.
Formulate and maintain a network of bench talent, conceptual and production partners, and people.
Be a founding partner in the design and construction of an excellent consumer marketing function.
