Google Looking for Firmware Technical Lead, Pixel Networking, Pixel Wireless Connectivity at Taipei, Taiwan Full Time

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in designing and implementing networking features in Linux or Android.
  • 5 years of experience in technical leadership, leading project teams.
  • 3 years of experience in bringup/developing features on Microcontroller Unit (MCU) or Real-Time Operating System (RTOS).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with system connectivity throughput performance tuning, such as interconnection (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express or other high speed connection) or WiFi/BT/ethernet throughput.
  • Experience in WiFi-calling or VPN.
  • Experience in one or more general purpose programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python, Rust, or Go.
  • Experience in applying machine learning into embedded systems.
  • Ability to ramp-up and learn quickly in a technical domain and collaborate well within and outside the team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Engineers to design/implement/fine-tune the Pixel networking functionality and performance to improve overall Pixel connectivity experience.
  • Partner and collaborate with Engineering teams, product/project management, to launch solutions in a timely manner.
  • Drive technical projects and provide solid networking mentorship to inspire the team to innovate, design, and implement advanced connectivity features.
