About the job
At the center of Global Server Operations (GSO) are the people that make all of our server builds, repairs, rack moves, upgrades and other fleet actions happen across our Data Center footprint. In this role, you will lead the Workforce Strategy and Operations team across various areas. In this role, you are responsible for the workforce planning and execution processes that will ensure Google’s GSO organization has the right people, in the right places, at the right times, with the right skills to continue to create for Google Cloud.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google’s product portfolio possible. We’re proud to be our engineers’ engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
Responsibilities
Act as the accountable and coordinating point of various GSO staffing models, and partner with multiple stakeholders to establish the areas needs. Work with Finance and other organizations to secure staffing goals, align recruiting resources, and track via metrics.
Partner with other Data Center teams to identify workforce development needs, and build and execute strategies to deliver solutions with GSO partners.
Identify and deliver Workforce metrics, forecasts, and data-driven insights that enable GSO operations to anticipate and mitigate risks globally and locally.
Identify and evaluate workforce strategies aligned to the goals of the overall program and contribute to the goals with market insights.
