Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Food Systems, Sustainability, a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience in sustainability at a food services organization.
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced degree in Food Systems, Sustainability, or Business.
Experience leading global operational and strategic initiatives, while effectively managing and delivering against multiple projects simultaneously.
Experience activating projects, programs, and/or marketing and brand strategies in a diverse global landscape, with the ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environment.
Experience leading global project teams and initiatives with global stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in developing communications plans and materials, with presentation design skills.
Ability to create effective relationships, influence, and collaborate internally and externally at all organizational levels.

The Google Food team is responsible for creating food experiences that promote collaboration, engage, and energize Googlers each and every day. The team works with a variety of partners and suppliers to provide delicious, nutritious food and innovative experiences, and to fuel Google’s culture of innovation. As the Global Sustainability Manager for Google’s food program, you’ll be a thought leader, working closely with teammates and with sustainability leaders both in our Real Estate Workplace Services group (REWS), Google, and our global food service vendor partners to develop strategies to address sustainability needs in support of the food program’s growth and evolution. You will translate strategies into programs that enable our global food service partners to operationalize sustainability into the daily execution of our program.
The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work – from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.
Responsibilities
Provide clear perspective on food systems and food trends, and sustainable supply chains.
Collaborate with sustainability, food operations, and culinary leadership of food service partners to define and operationalize the team’s sustainability strategies and programs to minimize environmental impact and meet or exceed sustainability goals, including goal setting, reporting progress against goals, and evolving the strategy as needed.
Lead and manage a portfolio of operational and strategic initiatives and projects, and track and analyze progress, identify gaps, and propose solutions to improve intended results.
Partner with multiple stakeholders, be a thought partner, innovative problem solver, understand business needs, and develop effective and scalable recommendations.
Represent the food program at select conferences, including delivering presentations to external audiences.
