Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience developing software or internet products and technologies to define technical product features.
Experience leading teams in a technical division/organization.
Preferred qualifications:
10 years of technical product management experience.
Experience in business and growth, working with go-to-market and engineering cross-functional teams.
Experience developing product strategy plans and visions, focused on enterprise market.
Experience in cloud and modernized enterprises architectures based on containerized and microservices deployments.
Experience with building networking and container/service mesh technology products for enterprises.
Excellent organization and prioritization skills along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

As the Group Product Manager, you will be responsible for shaping vision, strategy, and roadmaps for open source products.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and manage the third-party developer product strategy for a set of open source products in the Core product portfolio.
Define and lead a solution-focused roadmap for third-party developers, balancing goals and investments.
Collaborate with product and engineering leaders across related areas to ensure alignment on a set of priorities for first-party and third-party developers.
Drive adoption, engagement, satisfaction, and other success metrics; prioritize and drive product/solution roadmap, pricing, and business cases.
Support the technical relationship with Google’s developer ecosystems and develop a strategy to resolve technical blockers.
