Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in management consulting or consumer electronics/hardware, including building programs and business processes from scratch.
Preferred qualifications:
MBA or equivalent.
Experience building and managing a profit-and-loss (P&L), including development of new products and business generation strategies.
Experience with ongoing partner relationship management; ability to serve as an advocate for your product category internally and work collaboratively to identify opportunities or resolve issues.
Solid communication skills, with the ability to comfortably interact with partner’s and Google’s executive management.

The Google Nest Product Planning team gets to works with a broad set of internal stakeholders to define our business strategy, build and manage our profit-and-loss (P&L), and help to define our future product roadmap. The Head of Product Planning will be the business planning lead for a key area of investment in the Google Nest portfolio.
Responsibilities
Lead market analysis and business operations backgrounds to build, optimize, and scale up new and existing hardware businesses. See the big picture while effectively managing details, get excited by both the planning and execution aspects of the business, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
Partner with cross-functional teams to help drive the future business definition/planning for a key area of investment in the Google Nest portfolio, including defining the market opportunities and developing product go to market strategies. Combine strategy, planning, and P&L management, as well as day to day operational execution.
Work closely with product, engineering, go-to-market, finance, and operations to orchestrate the business planning of new products, new partners, and optimize the on-going business for your product line. Identify, shape, and monitor strategic initiatives that drive the business.
