Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience as a software engineer or developer
Preferred qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a practitioner developing enterprise software in server-side JavaScript
- Experience with speaking at technology conferences, blogging/writing articles with an existing follower base, or contributing to popular open source projects
- Experience with JavaScript
- Ability to prioritize across levels of demand for your time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

As a Google Cloud JavaScript Advocate, you will help users understand Google Cloud’s tools for developers and help them onboard to Google Cloud faster.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product and Engineering teams to define product strategies and to craft narratives around products and features for JavaScript on Google Cloud.
- Advocate for the needs of the JavaScript community internally and influence Google Cloud product strategy by working with Product Management, Engineering, PR, Marketing, Business Development and other cross-functional teams.
- Participate in the server-side JavaScript community as a practitioner and have knowledge of the community’s needs and challenges.
- Synthesize feedback in order to drive improvement to Google Cloud Platform products.
- Build an external community ecosystem of influencers, meetups, and experts that amplify our messages and extend our reach.
