Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience with data analysis, working with SQL and relational databases, including queries and database definitions.
Experience in people management or mentoring teams.
Preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, analytics, or related technical discipline.
Experience in technical leadership/people management.
Experience with abuse/fraud detection or web security research.
Experience in one or more of the following areas, querying and analyzing large datasets (e.g, SQL, MapReduce, Hadoop), malware analysis (e.g., YARA, reverse engineering), statistical analysis (e.g., R, Stata, SAS), and/or data-focused programming (e.g., Python, C/C++).
Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
Ability to manage and develop employees to deliver results, while building a fun and engaging working environment.

Our mission is to make the world’s information safely accessible to all, and along with Safe Browsing Engineering, we are responsible for protecting internet users across the globe from phishing and malware. Safe Browsing systems provide defenses against these threats for Google products such as Gmail, Chrome, Search, and Google Ads. Our team collaborates with abuse fighters across the company to identify and resolve the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products.
In this role, you will lead a global team and collaborate with teams both within and outside of Trust and Safety to fight malware, phishing, and Unwanted Software.
You will partner with Engineering, Product Managers, Legal, and Policy teams to drive operational performance and protect Google’s users.
You will enable effectiveness and efficiency by providing thought leadership, execution excellence, and people management guidance to deliver cross-functional initiatives at scale.
You will work to ensure that the trust users place not only in Safe Browsing but also in Google as a broader brand and company.

Responsibilities
Lead a team of analysts working to identify harmful entities, identify opportunities for automation, and scale existing workflows.
Oversee and perform complex data analyses to identify harmful entities, design and implement key performance metrics, examine trends, and identify system vulnerabilities.
Drive prioritization, alignment, and implementation of abuse enforcement initiatives and help the team grow their skills and develop their careers.
Collaborate with and manage relationships with partner teams to achieve shared objectives, provide strategic insight and frontend execution.
Deliver industry-leading fraud and abuse prevention solutions, measure impact and establish metrics for programs, comprehensive reporting, and actionable insights on risks and controls.
