About the job
We believe there are many problems in the world in which robotics could play a significant role in making it easier, faster and safer for people to get things done. We’re looking for roboticists, designers, hardware and software engineers to help us explore these possibilities, develop breakthrough technologies, and build new products that could help millions of people.
Focused on designing, upgrading, and advancing the capabilities of new and existing data centers, you will work with data, internal partners and systems Engineering teams to design systems.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google’s product portfolio possible. We’re proud to be our engineers’ engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
Take ownership of process development and equipment designs, including requirements gathering, concepts generation and detailed design, analysis and verification testing, cross-functional reviews, and production release.
Execute cross-functional design of full project integration, working with engineering partners to define technical requirements.
Build and test prototype solutions, and work with subassemblies, highly capable troubleshooting skills, and travel as needed.
