Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field, or equivalent pratical experience.

4 years of experience in public accounting or industry accounting.

Experience with revenue recognition processes (order to cash and record to report).

Experience with management in enterprise software development and/or implementation of Finance systems.

Preferred qualifications:
Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant.

Experience with large-scale systems implementations and project management.

Experience working and prioritizing multiple priorities.

Experience with AR subledgers and other revenue and accounting systems.

Ability to adapt to new situations and handle multiple tasks.

The Finance Transformation Office (Revenue Systems) team, is here to safeguard Google’s investment in Google Cloud products and services. Our team focus is on the automation, optimization, and innovation across Finance and Product teams to enable Google Cloud business to thrive.

You will focus on supporting various systems and product expansion initiatives, including requirements gathering, designing, and executing Finance User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cases, as well as coordinating and executing finance system-related implementations.

You will collaborate with Google Cloud’s Controllership, Revenue, Product, Engineering, and other Finance teams to manage financial risk, and develop and maintain scalable processes to support Google Cloud’s growth initiatives.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities

Support Google Cloud Revenue System launches by providing finance and accounting requirements, and engaging with cross-functional departments (e.g., Deal, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Engineering, Treasury, Tax, and Financial Operations) on new product and system initiatives.

Manage project issues/risks, facilitate escalations when needed to management, publish regular project status, and own other project communications.

Manage the risks of the business, ASC 606 for Software Revenue Recognition, and end-to-end Finance processes.

Partner with various Engineering teams to provide finance requirements for new system launches and large product/legal entity changes. Support user acceptance testing on business and finance requirements.

Develop an end-to-end understanding of the contract to business process to be able to identify dependencies between functions, systems, and opportunities for improvement.
