Google Looking for Packaging Design Engineer, Devices and Services at Mountain View, CA Full Time

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience working with packing materials, packing design, or a similar field.
• Experience working with consumer packaging materials using 2D and 3D (SolidWorks, NX) CAD applications and palletization software.
• Ability to travel 15% of the time as needed.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience managing multiple packaging projects in a cross-functional environment.
• Experience with logistics and operations and how they relate to packaging design.
• Experience working with sustainable packaging design methods and materials, with an understanding of international testing standards.
• Experience with rendering software (e.g., Keyshot).
• Experience in packaging design and development for high-volume products and an understanding of various packaging materials tooling design and schedules.
• Ability to work in office and manufacturing environments and lead teams for quality, schedule, or design.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$172,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the conception, design, development, documentation creation, validation, and release of packaging.
• Interact with suppliers to develop packaging solutions from high-level design concepts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams.
