Experience with DFM tools (e.g., Valor, CAM350, Fab3000), Allegro Skill scripting or Simulation tools.
Working knowledge with mechanical design outline formats.
Proficiency with high-speed and RF board designs or layouts.
Familiarity with high density ball-grid array (BGA), blind and buried vias.
Familiarity with all phases of hardware development including schematic entry, manually generated constraints, requirements of the constraints, and board layout.

Nest printed circuit board (PCB) Design team designs and develops rigid and flex PCB solutions for all the Nest hardware.
The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software, and services for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Google Nest team develops, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.
Responsibilities
Work with cross-functional teams to setup the mechanical outline, stackup, and constraints of the board.
Execute component placement and routing of rigid boards and Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC). Participate in design reviews providing expert recommendations as needed.
Interface with vendors to select and use correct impedance rules, Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Testability(DFT) rulesets.
Generate manufacturing files and address any internal or external DFM feedback.
Work with Hardware Engineers, PCB Designers, Mechanical Designers, and vendors for development and sustaining of actual products.
