Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.

• 6 years of experience in consumer electronics and/or embedded systems design.

• Experience in printed circuit board (PCB) design (i.e., high-frequency interfaces, RF routing, and power distribution).
• Experience in prototype bring-up, debugging, functional verification, manufacturing support, and designing high speed digital or analog systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

• 8 years of industry experience.

• 4 years of experience in technical leadership and people management (managing teams of 8 or more engineers).

• Experience with designing mobile phones or high-volume consumer electronics products with a track record of delivering high-volume products or devices from beginning to end.

• Experience with intra-IC communication protocols (e,g., USB, SPI, I2C, SPMI, UART, PCIE, MIPI, DSI), analog design, sensor design/integration, and low power design.

• Proficiency with embedded systems, PCB layout/design, microprocessor integration.

Responsibilities

• Architect and lead implementation of system solutions for mobile consumer electronics. Lead a subset of power architecture, charging system, radios, sensors, display, cameras (e.g., supplies, display and touch, audio, coprocessors), and other systems.
• Partner with subject-matter-expert and test teams to create module and system-level verification test protocols for new devices..
• Demonstrate ownership at the system level. Work with stakeholders to deliver robust, production-worthy solutions that optimize system parameters such as performance, efficiency, size, and cost. Create models and analytical tools to project the impact of design decisions, production variance.
• Bring up and robustly validate platform hardware and support product integration teams with design analysis, risk assessments and mitigation plans, technical support for production issue debug and resolution, perform rigorous design reviews with silicon vendors and internal engineering teams.
