Minimum qualifications:
15 years of experience in technical leadership and delivering distributed systems.

Experience working with large scale technical infrastructure systems and/or working with large scale supply chain or supply-demand matching systems.

About the job
In this role, you will help lead the transformation of Google Cloud Platform’s capacity planning and resources management systems. The team is working on initiatives including planning for the right shape and location mix of resources, demand and supply shaping initiatives, driving fungibility of infrastructure resources, and automated continuous rebalancing of inventory pools. Some of the technical challenges in the space include: optimizing the runtime of NP-hard problems, building large distributed systems with availability, defining a business policy engine to enable self-service management of system output goals.
You’ll help build the team and collaborate with Program managers and peers to eliminate roadblocks to deliver foundational components that span multiple teams across Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Additional Information
(Colorado only*) Minimum full-time salary range between $288,000 – $310,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. *Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

Provide technical leadership across teams of engineers focused on building a suite of systems aligned with our technical goals.
Provide technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle including design, implementation, and delivery of scalable services and infrastructure.
Define, iterate, and communicate team vision, strategy, and roadmap.
Engage with partner teams extensively, influencing architecture and roadmaps.
