Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
3 years of experience as a product manager developing software products
2 years of experience with one or more programming languages
Experience with data analysis, such as SQL or other analysis techniques
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of Computer Science education landscape from K-12, tertiary education, and non-traditional forms of education
Experience with cross-platform mobile application development and deployment lifecycle
Experience collaborating across product boundaries to achieve shared wins
A passion for being the voice of the user and for bringing equity to the tech industry
Comfortable working in iterative design environments and managing design decisions through A/B analysis
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to find direction within it

engEDU provides innovative, engaging, and equitable technical education — both within Google and externally. In this role, you will lead product strategy and execution for one of our key programs, Grasshopper within engEDU.
Grasshopper teaches coding and computer science education through fun, bite-size, game-like puzzles. Our mission is to prepare adults for careers in tech by removing the barriers to accessing coding education. As an engEDU Product Manager you will strive to deliver effective, equitable, and technical education. With a focus on the Grasshopper product, you’ll push the product vision to empower, engage, and excite groups globally. Your impact will showcase coding’s possibilities and the opportunities that Computer Science education can unlock.
You will be at the forefront of efforts for improving equity across the Tech industry. Your perspective, ideas, and design decisions will have a direct impact on students.
Responsibilities
Own feature and product development through a full lifecycle; from ideation, design, implementation, launch, and landing.
Collaborate, and manage, relationships needed to achieve product vision with marketing, UX, engineering, program, and external partners.
Identify technical solutions and/or changes to infrastructure that can benefit multiple engEDU products and/or programs.
Establish appropriate metrics to drive product and program success within Grasshopper and broadly across the engEDU organization.
Contribute to technical design decisions, balancing immediate needs with future demands
