About the job
At Google, we put our users first. The world is always changing so we need Product Managers who are continuously adapting and excited to work on products that affect millions of people every day.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds. You can break down complex problems into steps that drive product development at Google speed.
One of the many reasons Google consistently brings innovative, world-changing products to market is because of the collaborative work we do in Product Management. Our team works closely with creative and prolific engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world’s information. We’re responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.
The Search Language and Next Billion Users team aims to build an exceptional Google Search user experience for multilingual and new internet users in emerging markets.
As a Product Manager for the Search Language and Next Billion Users team, you will define and deliver experiences tailored for users underrepresented on the web today. You’ll re-define Search, grounded by extensive user research and experimentation, and work across teams on improving query/voice input, content, ranking, and experiences in local languages.
Responsibilities
Act as Product Lead for features and ranking work focused on the unique needs of multilingual and new internet users.
Drive efforts to better understand user language preferences across verticals, intents, and content formats. Develop a continuous onboarding experience to in-context prompts, and language transparency and control features for users.
Partner with User Research to build product intuition for local language users new to Search, and develop hypotheses for Search Language experiments.
Influence across the Search product area to deliver solutions for multilingual users.
