Preferred qualifications:
Familiarity with existing technologies and industry practices around connected home technology.
Experience working on infrastructure related products or services.
Excellent consumer product design instincts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a good ability to describe complex concepts in simple terms.
Ability to engage with senior stakeholders to achieve consensus on complex decisions.

The Google Nest team is looking for an outstanding Product Manager who is excited to build a proactive home that runs itself, helping users be more comfortable, safe, and efficient everyday. To achieve this vision, we established the Smart Home team to make the smart home about people and not only devices by providing contextual and personalized experiences for everyone in the home in a private manner.
As a Smart Home Product Manager, you will drive both strategy and development for short-term and long-term investments in foundational platforms. You’ll work with multiple cross-functional teams including smart speakers, smart displays, cameras, thermostats, and doorbells, and be especially involved in collaborations with Google Assistant and Android teams.
The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Nest team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Our mission is the helpful home: to create a home that cares for the people inside it and the world around it.

Responsibilities
Define Smart Home platform features, informed by research and data on emerging technology trends in the home, and enable Google to build products and services that leverage our Identity framework.
Drive the product execution, working closely with engineering, program management, UX and partner teams to land the best experience for our users.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams from Google Nest, Google Assistant, Android, and more to define the Identity platform goals and how we achieve them.
Work with the analytics team to implement a data driven framework for understanding and improving our user experiences.
Work with Google Nest teams to define Smart Home requirements. Translate those requirements into scalable product solutions that work well as systems across multiple surfaces and verticals.
