About the job
Product and Business Strategy Leaders bring together teams across Google’s functions to help products execute optimally. Our team pushes Google to scale at key points that refine our products and infrastructure by executing efficiently, bringing solid business sense and sound judgment, and working effectively across organizational lines.
Our roles often include components of strategy (e.g. analyzing and understanding new trends in the industry, building business plans), operations (e.g. running the cadence of organizations, connecting the operating lines between our functions), and communications. Our team partners with senior leadership to run important functions that cross-cut our existing organizations and deliver high impact projects. We help Engineers, PMs, UX, and all of our other functions to build amazing products that delight our users, and then get those products into their hands.
The Search Product Analytics, Insights, and Strategy team solves problems related to the health and growth of Google’s flagship product. We work cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Analysts, User Experience, Finance, and Marketing. You will influence leadership decisions about the role of our products, the partnerships we pursue, and our future path. In this role, you will build relationships across Search and other product ares. You will be in a position to advise our leaders directly, and help Google make the best strategic decisions possible.
(Colorado only*) Minimum Salary of $147,000 – $158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Work with team members and leaders to identify open-ended strategic issues and decisions facing Google, and break those questions down into hypotheses that can be analyzed and tested.
Work with Data Scientists and Product Analysts to conduct analyses and experiments to understand our users, products, markets, and ecosystems. Develop comprehensive, data-backed assessments of our strategic hypotheses.
Formulate and support recommendations, organized into easy-to-understand frameworks, and prepare materials (e.g., presentations, memos, models) to share findings with product and business leaders.
Communicate recommendations to leaders, and adeptly facilitate conversations designed to help leaders make the right decisions.
Guide Product teams as they start to implement recommendations.
