About the job
Finance Project Managers drive critical priorities for Google by leading and assisting in projects of all sizes. Drawing from your strong financial background, you work with a diverse team to manage projects from concept to implementation and keep Google-wide stakeholders informed as you go. You get down into the details of complex analyses without losing sight of the overall objective. When working on multiple projects at once, you intuitively know which issues to highlight and can bring key decision makers together to come up with effective solutions. Once a project is completed, you’re able to clearly communicate the results and draw the key learnings for management. You are efficient and organized, making the most of everyone’s abilities and holding the team to a high standard.
The Revenue to Cash Operations (RCO) team manages Google’s Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes globally across our product areas. We ensure Google’s business growth is transformed to cash in an efficient, controlled, and compliant manner. Our team powers Google’s growth by creating innovative ways to manage our billing and payment transactions, making processes more efficient and scalable, minimizing operational risk, integrating Google acquisitions and new products, connecting with new payment, invoicing partners, etc.
As a Compliance, Program Manager in RCO, you will design, plan, and implement risk management and compliance initiatives across process areas. You will advise RCO leadership on operational risks, and propose, plan, and drive mitigation actions that will involve a wide range of external and internal stakeholders and teams.
The name Google came from “googol,” a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
Design and implement policies to grow governance and risk management practices for the RCO.
Collaborate with partner teams and policy experts within Finance and Google to ensure continuous visibility into existing and emerging legal, regulatory, and policy compliance requirements, across complex global RCO processes.
Support teams as needed around compliance readiness, advise on operationalization of controls, and develop standards to report on compliance across the organization.
Establish and drive programs to provide oversight, monitor risk and compliance, and drive informed decision making across the organization.
Educate stakeholders on compliance obligations, identify and evaluate compliance risks and related impact, and advise on opportunities to strengthen controls.
