About the job
Data Center Program Controls supports the delivery of our Data Center program by providing clear, objective, and actionable data to enable decision making and continuous improvement. We monitor project performance within the program and provide independent advice and forecasting.
We are part of the wider Google Data Center (GDC) organization and work across both teams within GDC and also a number of external Google partner teams.
You will manage tracking, forecasting, performance evaluation, and improvement of equipment procurement, delivery and integration to enable successful delivery of new Data Centers as part of our construction program.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google’s product portfolio possible. We’re proud to be our engineers’ engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Deploy problem solving skills to address issues that arise, and resolve those issues at a program level

Assess and objectively evaluate performance as it relates to the execution of our projects, identify opportunities for improvement, drive and promote consistency of approach and data gathering across multiple projects in multiple regions
Collaborate cross-functionally with partner teams to support excellence in delivery throughout the delivery cycle and determine future needs and adapt the program’s operation accordingly
