Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent practical experience
12 years of experience in public accounting and public multinational high-tech companies
Experience working with US GAAP, ASC 606
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with multi-element revenue recognition
Knowledge of software accounting revenue standards and pronouncements
Ability to work independently on project deliverables in a fast-paced ambiguous environment with success in project management, execution, and multi-tasking
Ability to conduct technical accounting research, document findings, and articulate technical accounting guidance to non-technical audiences
Ability to build trusted relationships, influence key decisions, or drive urgency on key priorities
Exceptional analytical, business partnering, and communication skills

As a New Product Revenue Manager, you will provide Accounting expertise to assess all of the new and exciting offerings being contemplated by the Google Cloud organization.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
Manage overall Accounting ownership in review and approval of new Google Cloud product initiatives, ensuring appropriate business recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
Provide technical accounting and business recognition expertise to Product, Pricing, and Finance teams to influence optimal launches of new product initiatives and help drive continuous process improvements.
Draft technical accounting memos to support conclusions reached. Provide periodic reporting on new product initiatives to Accounting leadership.
Work with Alphabet Corporate Technical Accounting team in finalizing the business recognition memos for complex new offerings.
Work closely with Accounting Operations teams to create scalable and repeatable processes to ensure appropriate business recognition.
