About the job
As a Risk and Compliance Manager, you will be part of a growing Vendor Strategy, Governance and Infrastructure team reinventing the way the extended workforce and suppliers are managed today across People Operations. You will have an exciting opportunity to join a team from the beginning, innovate from scratch, and directly influence the operating model and team set up. Our ultimate goal is to enable Googlers to do their best work, knowing that the extended workforce is being taken care of.
As part of a team with a mission to power People Operations to deliver exceptional customer service to Googlers and candidates, you will assume ownership over the strategy and development of a data security and access assurance and other risk and compliance program for the vendor portfolio.
As a global thought leader, you will influence and build an audit and monitoring program to ensure all supplier operations with access to sensitive data through our tools and systems remain compliant with their respective process expectations and requirements. You will help mitigate the associated risks and scale your impact by creating a program that can be scaled across People Operations. Partnering with security/privacy engineers and operations experts, you’ll continuously fine tune the existing access management infrastructure to enable the highest degree of data security. You will also lead large-scale process reengineering technology and reporting initiatives to drive these outcomes in an ambiguous environment.
Responsibilities
Design a data security assurance program, ensuring that vendor operations are held to the highest standards and that there are no deviations. Build industry networks, stay up-to-date of latest compliance standards, models, and best practices.
Collaborate with Product/Enginering teams, Supplier Managers, and Process Owners to build an access management solution that mitigates our risk scenarios of unauthorized access and design a governance program for non-compliance.
Manage execution of the program by coordinating with operations teams to ensure audits are conducted at a set frequency across the entire portfolio.
Set up and manage a team to run data security audits for our entire portfolio, and eventually across People Operations.
Partner cross-functionally with engineering, tool/data owners, and operations teams to enhance existing access infrastructure and enable new opportunities with greater security.
