Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of work experience in a security, safety or customer service facing role.
Experience handling confidential and sensitive information.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience in supporting security operations and delivering high quality, customer-oriented security programs.
Proficient computer skills, including Google Workspace application use.
Demonstrated high level of competency with software and tools (e.g., dashboards, Badge Activation Service, etc.)
High ethical standards, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Excellent judgment, discretion and diplomacy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment with varying complexities and priorities.
About the job
In this role, you will respond to access requests, evaluate the information provided to understand needs, options for resolution, and raise issues to the appropriate resources for resolution. You will use technology to monitor and investigate access control challenges in various buildings globally, and manage access control for employees, contractors, and vendors. You will support key business partners and enable GSRS initiatives that ensure a safe and secure environment. You may also supervise employees and contractors performing specific security and safety objectives and monitor vendor performance and expenses.
From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Be responsible for monitoring and managing corporate access levels using an enterprise security access control system and other applications.
Perform audits, investigations, analyze results and provide formatted meaningful data to solve access level incidents.
Triage and resolve access control, credential management and general security questions requests from Googlers.
Be an effective part of a diverse team working on multiple platforms and operations process, for producing work in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure that the best practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are followed for access control, credential issuance and replacement to ensure compliance requirements are met.
