Experience in SQL.

Experience with abuse/fraud detection or web security research.
Knowledge of domain or interest in security, phishing, malware, or related topics.
Understanding of how the internet works economically, socially, and technically.
Ability to communicate technical concepts and manage competing stakeholder demands.
Ability multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. As a Security and Abuse Data Analyst, you will help the team in its mission to protect Google’s users. Our goals include: increasing the coverage, accuracy, and speed of Safe Browsing enforcement systems; understanding the global threat environment for phishing, malware, and unwanted software; and improving the user experience, both internally and externally, by communicating with webmasters, users, and partners.
In this role, you will detect and prevent abuses such as phishing and malware.You will work to ensure that the trust users place not only in Safe Browsing, but also in Google as a broader brand and company, is well founded. You will use problem-solving skills to make data-driven plans.

Responsibilities
Perform data analyses to identify harmful entities, design and implement key performance metrics, examine trends, and identify system vulnerabilities.
Analyze potentially malicious websites and software to understand their behavior and impact on users.
Improve tools or systems by influencing stakeholders with data and analysis.
Enhance operational workflows via process improvements and automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Engineering, Product, and Legal to improve system accuracy, fix product loopholes, and provide users with a better online experience.
