Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in a sales role in the enterprise software space
  • 5 years of experience with clients in the enterprise cybersecurity or IT fields
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience managing and developing a team that meets and exceeds strategic business goals, supporting both business and career development
  • Experience starting a region/customer group from scratch, understanding the security partner ecosystem
  • Ability to build continuous relationships, promote to C-level executives across security and IT business units, and ensure customer success and adoption, leading to customer expansion
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and organize sales activities with attention to detail
  • Ability to use metrics to analyze, predict, and react to business trends
  • Knowledge of products, solutions, and market trends in cybersecurity and cloud

As a Security Sales Manager, you will lead a team responsible for growing our cybersecurity business by building and expanding relationships with customers. You will ensure the team has the necessary skills to effectively build relationships, and demonstrate product functionality, and comprehensive overviews of key business use cases. You will support the team and their relationships with external customer stakeholders, leading with empathy, while identifying innovative ways to multiply impact. You will have shared responsibility to uphold and grow a positive team culture. You will partner with internal Google Cloud Platform Sales teams to grow their security businesses and drive overall value for Google Cloud Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a positive and high-performing Security Sales team and team culture with a focus on future talent, promoting security customers, and meeting or exceeding quarterly goals.
  • Manage the team’s development and drive pipelines, managing cycles from lead generation to customer onboarding.
  • Build and maintain relationships to influence long-term strategic direction, acting as an advisor to the team and accounts.
  • Partner with Marketing, Customer Engineering, Google Cloud Platform, Customer Success, Channels, and Product and Engineering teams to understand customers and provide excellent prospect and customer experience.
  • Represent Google Cloud Security in regional forecasts and team meetings. Serve as stakeholder to regional cloud leads, reporting current, accurate, and timely forecasting and business performance in tools.
