About the job
The Privacy, Safety, and Security (PSS) organization’s mission is to “Keep everyone safe, at scale.” We are a global team with subject matter expertise and a view across Google, Alphabet, and the industry. With a focus on user trust, we define the strategy, tooling, governance, infrastructure, and systems that ensure Google users are safe throughout the ecosystem. We stay ahead of industry and regulatory trends and monitor the evolving threat landscape and are accountable for driving Google’s privacy, safety, and security outcomes.
As a Senior Director of Technical Program Management for Privacy, Safety, and Security, you will serve as a key advisor and strategist partner to engineering leadership in developing the business strategy, organizational structure, business cadence, and frameworks to operate at scale and in an evolving regulatory landscape. You will also work with Engineering, Product Management, Operations, and Privacy, Safety, and Security teams across all of Google. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with partner product areas.
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
Responsibilities
