7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, a related function, or 5 years with a relevant advanced degree.

Experience working with large datasets.
Knowledge of the cloud/software industry.
Ability to take initiative in an unstructured, ambiguous, and fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate, influence, and develop working relationships at executive levels.
Excellent analytical and modeling skills.

The North America Google Cloud Sales Finance team ensures that Google Cloud makes sound financial decisions while they deliver business results. We are a critical partner and independent advisor to the Google Cloud commercial leaders, providing them financial, analytical, and strategic insights on business growth, expenses, investments, and agreement assessments.
In this role, you will work with cross-functional leaders who value the impact and influence Finance brings to the table, and who leverage our insights to make the most strategic decisions.
The name Google came from “googol,” a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
Responsibilities
Manage the business profit/loss, including multi-year planning, definition and tracking of value drivers, annual planning, forecasting, and business growth expense reporting and analytics.
Drive financial excellence and partner cross-functionally with Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Finance.
Contribute to complex commercial agreements by advising on non-standard terms in close alignment with cross-functional teams. Work cross-functionally to develop effective investment strategies and risk management, finding solutions to challenges in a rapidly evolving environment and influencing the outcomes through data-driven analysis.
Optimize and automate financial processes, collaborating with the Finance team and promoting systems innovations with tools.
Develop and maintain relationships/collaboration across leaders in Business and Finance. Engage with the Business leadership teams to support decision-making.
