Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or equivalent practical experience
7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis, Accounting, Consulting, or a related field
Preferred qualifications:
Experience working with financial data tools (i.e., spreadsheets, Enterprise Resource Planning, and forecasting systems)
Experience with financial planning and modeling within the payments or technology industry
Experience with early stage product development
Ability to be a trusted partner between product and finance leadership and the ability to adapt to new approaches in a rapidly changing environment
Ability and desire to learn SQL query and analysis techniques
Excellent analytical, problem solving, internal controls, and risk management skills and business acumen

The Payments Business Finance team supports the Global Payments team. Our goals are to help Google be successful in building Payments products and a Payments Platform.
The Payments team works with all parts of the banking/payments ecosystem including networks, issuers, gateways, and financial technology to deliver the best solutions globally. Our goal is to enable safe and easy payments for Google users and to drive growth across all our products.
Responsibilities
Identify product offerings, investments, and growth initiatives to drive business growth
Manage product Profit and Loss to provide actionable financial analysis and business insights to help drive business growth and cost optimization mechanisms.
Analyze commercial partnership agreements and business opportunities to influence business decisions regarding agreement structures, operationalization, and returns
Design, develop, and report on Key Performance Indicators to monitor the performance of commercial agreements and operations in order to create a platform for strategic decision-making
Act as a trusted financial and strategic advisor to business leaders.
