Knowledge of Android or Android TV environments
Knowledge of embedded environments and familiarity with microprocessor and micro-controller design

In this role, you will drive the system architecture and successful systems integration of various Nest products. You will use engineering expertise and an innovative application of technologies.
You will bring passion for high quality consumer computing products and effective communication capabilities as you will partner with many cross-functional Engineering and Product teams.
The Google Nest team focuses on hardware, software and services offerings for the home, ranging from Nest thermostats to Nest smart displays. The Nest team researches, designs, and develops new technologies and hardware to make users’ homes more helpful. Responsibilities
Work in collaboration with the Electrical Engineering team to take the program through all phases of product development (e.g., detailed design of electrical architecture, schematics, layout, validation, design for test, design for manufacturability, etc.).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Software, Test Engineering, Mechanical Design, Printed Circuit Board, Product Management, etc.) with emphasis on working with Layout Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Signal Integrity teams.
Plan and execute validation of designs (e.g., complete functional verification, signal characterization, power modeling/test, and system coexistence testing).
Bring design to mass production by setting factory test requirements, assisting in software bring up, and traveling on-site to the manufacturer to ensure the design is built and tested successfully.
Design, implement, debug, and characterize electrical engineering systems geared for Google Nest product lines.
