Understanding of printed circuit board (PCB) layout and electromagnetic capability (EMC) fundamentals.
Understanding of power IC circuitry, battery power interface IC, on-die power monitor, power design for volume test.
Excellent power system, problem solving, debugging, and analysis skills.

As the Senior Hardware Engineer, you will work cross-functionally to deliver a consumer hardware platform for volume production. Our team is responsible for hardware platform and system quality optimization for the next generation of Google’s consumer devices.
The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world’s most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.
Responsibilities
Manage Power Management IC bring-up, validation on Pixel development platform, and product device form-factor board.
Engage with power architecture and design team to improve power Integrated Circuit (IC) circuitry for volume manufacture test and calibration at form factory platform.
Develop and execute a validation test plan for System Power covering various integration levels.
Create validation test reports to ensure data accuracy and completeness. Lead bug reporting and debugging processes for root-cause solutions.
Lead root-cause analysis efforts on system level power failure through Finite Element Analysis and lab design of experiments, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and Power Management Integrated Circuit (PMIC) vendors.
