8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms

Experience with Multimedia Frameworks.

Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a technical related field.
3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.
3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams.
Experience with Video Processing.
Experience with Codecs.
Experience with Code Refactoring and API design.

The Android OS Media Framework team owns the multimedia building blocks that power nearly all multimedia activities on billions of Android devices. We work with developers, silicon vendors, device manufacturers (including our own Pixel team) as well as our camera and graphics/display teams to create flawless and easy-to-use solutions to creating, consuming and managing media and thus delighting our users.

Responsibilities
Ensure a great multimedia experience for our users by designing, implementing, and maintaining the Android media stack written in C++ and Java.
Improve the quality, usefulness, maintainability, and robustness of our media stack.
Work with application developers to improve our developer-facing APIs and their feature set.
Work with silicon/chip vendors and OEMs to implement proper media support in Android devices.
