You are an imaginative engineer with a passion for wanting to develop the next generation of Google powered smartwatches. On the Wear OS Platform Engineering team, you will be focused on developing Google’s “Wear OS By Google” software platform that powers devices from our global partners. On this team, you’ll be responsible for developing frameworks and services optimized for the wearable platform.

Responsibilities
Improve performance and battery life of the Wear OS Platform and Devices while enhancing product architecture / direction and resilience.
Enable Google provided services while optimizing for battery life.
Work closely with our SoC and hardware development partners on utilizing their capabilities/generating requirements on the next generation.
Drive features end-to-end, from design to developer outreach, and actively participate in feature planning and work distribution.
Help to grow the team, and lead and mentor junior team members on design techniques and coding standards.
